The servers of D2 are global regions, you join the one that's yours, and are placed in a lobby with a chat window and a list of games to join. So, first, you mean "games", not "servers". There's all sorts of questions I have and I can't find anything with google searches because searching for "how to play" or "what to do" ends up with posts about connection troubleshooting. Should I feel pressured to keep up with a player who is rushing ahead or should I just join a new server if the others beat a quest way ahead of me? Is trading a common thing through a completion of a difficulty? I mean, should you join specific servers for trading or do people just do it when playing? If my goal is to get through the game with a character that hasn't beat a difficulty yet, what should I look for in a server in the list?ĭo people expect others to stay grouped together within an area?ĭoes everyone mostly stick to themselves to avoid squabbling over loot? Do people squabble over loot? ![]() Over the years I never really understood what the unspoken rules or meta are. With D2:R coming out though, I'd like to dip my body, and not just my toes, into multiplayer. I've always played the Diablo series offline and had plenty of fun doing my best to beat the games on my own time and seeing what kinds of items I get.
